Jude Tadeo Inyalot

Inyalot Jude Tadeo is from the Irarak Itomei clan and comes from Kamodokima village, Mukura sub-county in Ngora district. He is currently completing his PhD in Materials Science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru in India. He has a Master of Science in Chemistry from university of Mysore in India and a Bachelor of Science with Education (Chemistry and Mathematics) from Gulu University in Uganda.

Inyalot specialises in Materials Science and has enormous expertise in Inorganic Chemistry, Solid-State Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. His PhD research is based on Vanadium Pentoxide (V2O5) and Vanadium Dioxide (VO2) Thin Films for Gas Sensing, Smart Windows, and Optoelectronic Applications.

He has a range of laboratory skills including Synthesis Techniques like Solid-State Synthesis, Wet Chemistry Synthesis Methods, Densification Using Cold Press;  Thin Film Deposition by Ultrasonic Nebulized Spray Pyrolysis of Aqueous Combustion Mixture, D.C Reactive Sputtering and Chemical Vapor Deposition; and several Characterization Techniques such as X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), UV-Visible Spectrophotometry, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Electrical Conductivity Measurements and X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS).

Before embarking on his PhD, Inyalot worked in Uganda as a secondary school teacher and was the Head of Chemistry Department in Ngora High School. Inyalot has published some of his PhD research work on several reputable peer-reviewed journals. He has also attended and presented his research work in several national and international conferences.

Inyalot encourages the Iteso community to prioritise education and consider it as a valuable tool for well-being and development of Teso sub-region. As we all know, quality education besides good health is a key attribute to improved and a happy living. He aims at networking, lobbying, and connecting Iteso to various study and/or research funding opportunities abroad. Inyalot believes ICU is the right platform to connect and reach to every member of Iteso community. He aspires to see a united, healthy, educated, rich and developed Teso community. He asks all Iteso to unite and to embrace ICU; united we stand, divided we fall.
