The Government of Uganda is offering an 80% subside on 5 programmes for the first intake of 40 qualifying Ugandan nationals per Programme under the International Vocational Qualifications (IVQ) programmes.
There are 200 scholarships available. Applicants admitted on scholarship will contribute about 1.2 – 1.5 million shs only for the whole course.
Eligible candidates for the IVQ Programmes should have prior learning or industrial experience in the relevant fields. The following courses are sponsored:
The courses last 10 months. All applicants are admitted to the Foundation Level for 1 month. At the end of the one month, students are assessed.
Those who pass Foundation Level proceed to Level 1, which is 3 months. At the end of this period, students will be assessed. Those who pass proceed to Level 2, which is 7 months. If you pass Level 2, you get a certificate.
IVQ are practical hands-on courses which guarantee employment after completion including self-employment. IVQ are recognized worldwide; with these qualifications, one can get a job anywhere in the world or continue their education.
